The “Connecting with Herbs” family experience is for families who want to experience a fun and meaningful day together at An Farm Hoi An organic herbs farm. Participating in the program, families will have the opportunity to explore the magical world of herbs, learn about the uses and how to use herbs in daily life, harvest and prepare herbal products by themselves, and learn simple yet effective health care tips.

Experience details

Part 1: Welcome drink

You are sitting in the middle of a healing garden filled with fragrant herbs and flowers, listening to the sounds of the wind, the birds and enjoying some organic herbal teas. You will feel comfortable, and we will boost your health with weather-appropriate teas.

Furthermore, you can order another herbal tea from our range, depending on your needs. We have tea which are useful for detoxification, helping to sleep, helping to relax and reduce stress, to help prevent depression, to treat sore throats, to help improve digestion, to help treat problems with digest and to reduce headaches. The teas are antioxidant and help with anti–aging, lowering high blood pressure, helping with weight loss etc.

We will share details about each tea including ingredients and health benefits to assist with your choice.

Part 2: Discovering herbs farm

You will join us to explore the herb farm with many types of Vietnamese – European herbs. Each type of herb not only has a different aroma and taste but also has its own uses and stories.

✧ Herbs that will help you relax, reduce your stress, enhance your mood and fight depression such as rose, jasmine, peppermint, rosemary and so on.

✧ Herbs that provide energy from nature to nourish your body such as pandan leaves, basil, stevia, cinnamon, holy basil.

✧ Herbs that make you awake and aware which stimulate the senses of the body and relieve headaches such as peppermint, lemon balm, lemongrass, rosemary and thyme.

✧ Herbs that support the healing of respiratory diseases, colds, flu, antivirals such as perilla, country borage, peppermint, choco-mint, lemongrass leaves etc.

Part 3: Harvest herbs & flowers

After visiting our farm, you will join us in harvesting flowers and herbs. We will show you how to harvest properly, how each herb should be harvested, what time is suitable, etc.

Part 4: Preliminarily prepare and dry herbs

We will guide you how to preliminarily prepare herbs and dry by solar or cold dryer.

Part 5: Learn to make herbal drinks

  • Learn make herbal tea for relaxation and warms your bodyYou will learn how to make herbal tea, its health benefits and how to use it.
  • Learn make detox juice for detoxify your body
    You will learn how to make a detox juice, its health benefits and how to use it.
  • Learn to make hibiscus mocktail
    We will introduce the necessary ingredients for this drink and show you how to make a hibiscus mocktail according to our recipe.
  • Learn to make butterfly pea flower juice
    With the butterfly pea flowers you have harvested before, we will show you how to make a drink that is good for your skin, reduces inflammation and controls blood sugar levels.
  • Learn to make An Farm’s mojito
    Surely mojito is a familiar drink to all of us. From organic ingredients at the farm combined with a little alcohol, we will guide you to make a lovely and interesting An Farm’s mojito.

Part 6: Learn to make some home remedies
You will be instructed to make one of the three types of home remedies below:

  • Ginger infused honey
  • Turmeric infused honey
  • Herbal steam mixture

Part 7: Foot bath experience

You will experience foot bath in a bamboo pot with a mixture of herbal soaking water combined with ginger and sea salt. This experience helps to stimulate the circulation points on the soles of the feet, improves metabolism, helps make muscles and joints supple, strengthens the body’s resistance and relieves diseases such as varicose veins and respiratory diseases and helps to treat insomnia, relieve headaches and reduces sweaty feet.

Part 8:Enjoy a big healthy meal

Home foods:

  • Herbal fried rice
  • Sour mushroom soup
  • An Farm salad
  • Sauteed mushroom
  • Summer rolls

Fruit juice made from fruit that grown by organic way in my farm.

Include:

  • English speaking guide
  • Recipe to make the juice, the home remedies, the herbal steam mixture in the experience.

Price:

  • Group from 2 to 4 persons: 46 USD/ 1 pax
  • Group from 5 – 12 persons: 40 USD/ 1 pax
  • Group ≥ 13 persons: 37 USD/ 1 pax

Free for children under 5 years old. Charge 80% for children from 5 to 9 years old.
